About Us

Cornerstone Veterinary Centre has been offering healthcare services to companion animals in the West Midlands for over 10 years.

We have launched this internet-based service to help provide a source of information for pet health and wellbeing, and encourage a more interactive interface between us as vets and you as pet owners.  We hope that, with time, some support and communication between pet owners will develop as well.

More recently, particularly with the current financial climate, we have become concerned and aware that pet owners have been increasingly seeking on-line help and support with their questions regarding pet health.  We firmly believe that professional veterinary advice offers the best source of information, and would like to try and use this on-line service to maintain contact with pet owners in the most cost-effective way; whilst maintaining our input as qualified veterinary staff.

Why can we offer these products on-line?

Part of the costs of providing pet products through a veterinary practice are linked to the high running costs of the premises, staff and other overheads associated with taking x-rays, operating on conditions as varied as skin grafts and orthopaedic procedures.  By offering an internet shop we can order the product directly for you and you can collect it without us incurring these overheads, and so the price to you is cheaper.

Can I order products if I use another veterinary practice?

Yes.  None of the products available on this site are currently restricted for sale only to registered clients.

Do I need to obtain a prescription before I buy?

Only for some items - at present we have stocked some flea and worm treatments that require a prescription before they can be dispatched.  These are clearly marked wtih the logo:

which contains a link to information regarding how to go about obtaining a prescription from your vet.  We can take your order and process the payment - but we can only send the item/process it for collection once your prescription has arrived with us and been checked.

For existing clients of the practice, our normal rules surrounding repeat medications will apply - and so if you have a pet with a stable medical condition who has been seen at the practice for their routine medical check-ups, a written prescription may not be required.  You can order and pay using the website, and we will contact you by e-mail to let you know whether the product can be collected/posted as soon as possible.

I buy my pets food from you already, what do I do?

If you already purchase pet food from us, then feel free to continue doing so.  However, we will also be happy to provide you with this internet service if it is more convenient for you.  Please note that internet prices cannot be obtained at the practice.

Delivery Information

We have decided to use a company called Fastway Couriers for our delivery service. They collect from us every day, and gaurantee a next day delivery to the following postcodes:

WV (all), B (all), WS (all) and DY (1-9)

For other areas throughout England and Wales, we expect delivery in 1-2 business days - please contact us if you would like specific information.
